If you've never been, just go! The maid of the mist or horn blower boat to the base of the falls is a must, while other top experiences include, "behind the falls", power boat tours on the Niagara river, and the rejuvenated downtown area featuring a ferris wheel, mini-putt, and bustling shops and restaurants. Well worth the just under two hour drive to experience one of the great natural wonders of the world, I've been at least 10 times.

these are not caves with a cement walkway and a hand rail. If you have kids 5+ or have the heart of a child, I used to love exploring this underground maze (its not so big you could seriously get lost, it maxes out at about 30 feet deep, bring headlamps, ask me for details. They are truly unique and the campground, about 90 minutes away, also has scenic hikes and interesting "kettle" features formed by water pouring through rock. Swimming too makes for a way underrated family adventure nearby.
