This is my favorite hiking path in the world. Multiple lakes, beautiful scenery, old mining equipment, and friendly locals along the way. I will pack my lunch and spend all day gazing at the lakes. The second lake is my favorite! Start your hikes earlier in the morning as storms tend to roll in around 12 p.m. and you will beat a majority of the crowds as well.
Please note: this trail has steep elevation gains and the air can be thin for those from lower elevations. If you choose to do this hike, just stop when you feel out of breath and take at least 90 seconds to catch your breath. You can also purchase cans of oxygen to carry in town as well.
