Metra station takes you downtown in 10 minutes. Recommend this over the Green line off of Cottage because it is cleaner and just feels safer to me.

Love deli food with lots of meat like I do? Then you have to checkout Bergstein's NY Deli. The address shows the suburban location but there is now one in Hyde Park which would not come up in Google. The address is 1164 E. 55th St.

A staple in the neighborhood since the 70's. Great place for breakfast and serves lunch/dinner too. Just love the chicken and waffles and must have the fried green tomatoes!
