Sightseeing

Victoria Park opened in 1896, making it our oldest park. Some of the original features remain, including an iron bridge, flower beds and hundreds of trees and shrubs. The park is also home to a historic pavilion, which is a popular event and wedding venue. Visitors are drawn to the park for its lake, plus annual events such as the Kitchener Blues Festival and the Multicultural Festival. A skating rink operates in winter. Other highlights include the Schneider Haus National Historic Site museum and the start point of the Iron Horse Trail.
