Today's center of Rogoznica consists of the former mainland called Kopača and the islet of Kopara, connected by an artificial embankment into one whole. The center of Rogoznica is located on a peninsula where old stone houses have mostly been preserved, which gives the Rogoznica waterfront an authentic Mediterranean atmosphere. Most of the island is covered with pine forests and is ideal for walking and other types of recreation. This beautiful fishing village has a naturally protected harbor, deep draft, which has always provided a safe anchorage for every boater. Dense pine forest, a long promenade by the sea, beautiful beaches, islands and bays and Dragon Lake in the karst rock, attract today besides boaters and many other tourists.

Split is the largest city in Dalmatia, and the second largest city in Croatia in terms of population, and is the economic and cultural center of Dalmatia. It is located in the central part of the eastern Adriatic coast, bordered by the Kastela Bay from the west and north, and the Brač Channel from the south and spatially covers most of the Split peninsula which connects with the mainland with its north and east sides. The city center, located on the eastern side of the Marjan Peninsula, which is now a protected park-forest, is the ancient Diocletian's Palace from the 4th century (under UNESCO protection of October 26, 1979 [1]), which is a unique example in the world. Leaning against the ancient palace, along the south coast to the west, leans the medieval core. Around these two cores, which today form a whole, towards the west, east and north, many newer and even modern Split settlements have sprung up over the years. On the northern coast of the Split peninsula is located the City Stadium Poljud, which since its construction is home to the famous football club HNK Hajduk.

Punta Planka divides the Adriatic into northern and southern, with strong winds, cyclones and anticyclones colliding over it, and strong sea currents in its submarine. Giant waves can rise on Punta Planka, while in the vicinity of Bonaca. Punta Planka is mentioned in the first meteorological records of the ancient Greeks. It was called Cape Diomedes because allegedly Diomed, one of the greatest heroes of Greek mythology, sailed to it. It was a dangerous place, there were catastrophic shipwrecks. Under the sea are many wrecks that are not far from the mainland and are not at great depths, so Rogoznica is a paradise for divers. One of the miracles attributed to St. John of Trogir is connected to the mysterious and dangerous Punta Planka. When the Hungarian king Koloman experienced a shipwreck near Punta Planka, according to legend, his life was saved by St. Ivan of Trogir walking on the stormy sea.

The dragon's eye of the pond is elliptical in shape. It is located on the Gradina peninsula in Rogoznica, opposite the Soline bay, where the famous marina Frapa is located. Because of this shape it is called the Dragon's Eye. It is filled with salt water and deeply cut into rocks overgrown with macchia and lower vegetation. It is connected to the sea by a cave whose opening can be seen on the surface of the water. The cave is called the Dragon's Ear and is larger and deeper than the lake itself. Numerous stories and legends are associated with the lake. One legend says that the lake was formed when a meteorite fell in its present place, which is "confirmed" by its true shape. The second is the story of the brothers, one of whom was blind. By sharing the inheritance, the healthy brother deceived the blind man, and the blind man cursed him with the words: "If you have not divided justly, let everything turn into a lake." Some claim that there is a spacecraft at the bottom of the lake. However, a dragon also lived in the lake, which is sometimes drunk and boiled. This dragon from Rogoznica, according to local legend, was ruthless - he collected a bloody tribute, every year he took the most beautiful girl and the fattest sheep. There is another story. Dragon Murin, the illegitimate son of Hera and Poseidon, ruled the polis of Heracles from his court on the island of Velika Smokvica. He protected the inhabitants from invaders and robbers, and they had to give him the most beautiful girl for a woman every year, on the longest day. No unfortunate woman survived her first wedding night. Legend has it that one day, on the winged horse Pegasus, the hero Aristoles, the great-grandson of the Argonaut Jason, appeared. He fell in love with a girl who was to be the bride to a terrible dragon the next day. The young hero challenged the Dragon to a duel and with a spear, forged by Hepheastion and the moon dust by the mighty goddess Athena, mortally wounded the monster. Dying, Murin dug his own eyes out with his claws. He threw one eye far behind Mljet, and the other just slipped under his feet and melted the stone. The sea merged into a stone hollow and a lake was created, the famous name of the Dragon's Eye. According to this legend of the dragon Murin, if two lovers bathe in the Dragon's Eye, they will be faithful to each other for the rest of their lives, and their marriage will be blessed with eternal love and healthy children.

The Krka River springs at the foot of the Dinara Mountain, 3.5 km northeast of Knin, at the foot of the 22-meter Topoljski Buk or Krčić, created by the Krčić tributary. Krčić dries up in summer. It flows into the Adriatic Sea near Šibenik. The total length of the river, with the submerged part of the mouth, is 72.5 km, of which 49 km is a freshwater stream and 23.5 km is bocce. The catchment area is 2,650 km2. [1] The average annual flow of the Krka through Skradinski buk is about 55 m3 / s, and the daily flow varies from 5 to approximately 565 m3 / s. The Krka flows through the Knin and Kosovo fields, where it receives its first significant tributaries. At the exit from the Krka field, it enters the canyon. The most famous tributary is Čikola, which flows between Miljevac and Skradinski buk and forms a picturesque confluence with Krk. There are 7 waterfalls on the river Krka. The first among them is Bilušića buk (22.3 m high), which is located 16 km downstream from the spring. It is special precisely because it is the only waterfall that is not used for hydropower. The second waterfall is Brljan or Ćorića buk (15.5 m) which is located 19 km downstream from the source. The water of this waterfall and the water of Lake Bjelobera or Ćorića Lake are used in the Miljacka hydroelectric power plant. Manojlovac (the highest and most beautiful waterfalls on the Krka) is the third waterfall located half a kilometer downstream from Brljan. Like many waterfalls, it consists of a series of travertine barriers. Manojlovac is the highest waterfall (59.6 m) with a main waterfall 32.2 m high. The surrounding vegetation is sub-Mediterranean. The water of this waterfall is also used for hydropower in the Miljacka hydroelectric power plant. The remaining 4 waterfalls are Rošnjak (8.4m), Miljacka (23.8m), Roški slap (25.5m) and the most famous Skradinski buk (45.7m). On the river there is also Visovac Lake where the islet of Visovac with the Franciscan monastery is located. Downstream from Skradin, Krk spreads into Prokljansko Lake. It flows into the sea near Šibenik.
