Awesome Bagels at a great price, fantastic coffee & our favourite hospo hosts in town. Not only do they serve up the best bagels you'll ever try ( OK maybe outside of NY), they have a friendly team working & love their hip hop beats as much as their bagels.

If you're keen on fresh fruit, veges, plants & produce, get down to the farmers market Saturday morning. With so many orchards near by, this is by far one of the best farmers markets in the country. You'll need to get there before 10am when the carpark makes way for city parking. And even earlier for the best items, eg fresh blueberries that sell out & fresh grown mushrooms & local baby pineapples. Also not to be missed - the bakery across the road at the Hare Krishna restaurant that is only open to sell the bakery Saturday mornings.

Walk or Beam, Bus!

Whangarei is relatively easy to get around. From our studio here in Riverside, a short walk down to Riverside Drive will get you onto the loop, with a short walk along the river into town. Beam scooters can also be round easily along the way. Taxi's are scarce late at night, however are more avail during the day. No Uber or Old here (yet!). Riverside is also along the main bus route up to the airport and back into town.
