This is our very favorite trail on Mt. Rainier. The trail is a 1.5 mile round-trip loop. It's a great trail for families and/or beginners. The trail includes an island with historical huge trees. You take a cool suspension bridge over the river to get to the island. Wade or play in the river on hot summer days!

A local favorite for hikers, this trail leads you to Mashell Falls. There is an upper and lower falls trail. The trail begins right in our backyard, however, the best place to start is right across Center Street.

We highly recommend this wonderful local park which features native PNW animals. Admission includes a lengthy tram ride through an animal free roam area so you see them close in their natural habitats. There is a large playground for children and hiking trails as well.
