St. Augustine Beach located on the southern end of 18-mile Anastasia Island, features wide, beautiful beaches. The main entrance point is at St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park, but there are access points at street ends along the four-mile length of St. Augustine Beach. The pier features a four-acre beachfront park that has a playground, picnic tables, restrooms, showers, a pavilion, volleyball courts, bait and tackle and concessions. A bonus: beachgoers can actually drive on the beach, from A Street south to Crescent Beach (4WD or AWD required).

Salt Water Cowboys is one of our family favorites! There's few other places to get the best sunset view of the intercoastal waterway while you wait on a table. You may get to visit one of the many cats that hang around, or even get a glimpse of a racoon looking for a local snack. Try the clam chowder as an appetizer & ask to sit outside on the deck!

Mango Mango's has hosted our family through the years, always serving up some of the most eclectic seafood dishes you can get! Our favorites are the shrimp tacos & grilled mahi mahi because the mango salsa topping is unmatched for flavor! The perfect intimate restaurant for a family visit, and on the main run for the touristy area of St Augustine Beach. Go visit the Pit next door for your surfing or skating needs!

This is our absolute favorite breakfast stop in Old City of St Augustine on Cordova Street. My whole family makes trips here, my daughters & I have daddy-daughter dates here, my bride brings friends here - the food is simply amazing & our favorite is The Sticky Maple - fried chicken, pecanwood smoked bacon & the Bissell Family Farm's famous maple syrup. Dine outside & you won't regret it!

O'Steen's Restaurant is a MUST-GO-TO destination during your visit to St Augustine for some of the best fried seafood you can get! Be sure to bring cash, they don't take plastic, & be prepared for a wait, but they have benches outside & it's worth it!

O.C. White’s has a history dating back to 1790, originally constructed by Don Miguel Ysnardy, a prominent St. Augustinian. The building is associated with significant aspects of the history of St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest city. The House served as one of the first hotels in St. Augustine. This is one of Galen's favorite spots for the history & the location across the street from the marina where you'll see a two-masted schooner & scores of other sail boats. O.C.'s has an amazing menu, but the joy of sitting outside under an ivy canopy while being serenaded by a local musician acoustically is an experience you won't want to miss!

COFFEE!!

Our favorite coffee stop in St Augustine, Kookaburra adds an Australian twist with innovative flavors & roasts their own beans locally. Their largest location is within walking distance of Ocean Gallery, with an equally charming spot near the Pier at St Augustine Beach. "The original Kookaburra opened its doors in 2012 at Cathedral Place in downtown St. Augustine. The concept was born out of family and community experiences and a desire to meld the best coffee and baked goods imaginable with world class service. The 420 square foot shop quickly became a community hub, and allowed the expansion into our larger US 1 and SR 312 shop in 2014. The efforts of our incredible staff and the support of our loyal customers made possible the opening of our third location at St. Augustine Beach, followed by The Kookaburra Roastery and our largest location south near Dondanville Road and A1A. In late 2020 we moved our roasting facility and opened a fifth location on SR 207. "

The Castillo de San Marcos is one of the most amazing structures standing in North America. Built by the Spanish in St. Augustine to defend Florida and the Atlantic trade route, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument preserves the oldest masonry fortification in the continental United States and interprets more than 450 years of cultural intersections. The Castillo de San Marcos is open to the public seven days per week except Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November) and Christmas Day (December 25). A maximum capacity of 450 visitors in the historic fort at any time will be in effect. First admission is at 9:00 a.m. and last admission is at 5:00 p.m. The Castillo closes and visitors must exit at 5:15 p.m. The park grounds are closed from midnight until 5:30 a.m. Don't forget the sunscreen & plan on an early morning visit, there's not a lot of shade, and practice your smiles for pictures!
