Typical Andalusian restaurant, run by a warm Spanish family. Very nice Spanish food. Our favorites: 'Sole filets with almond sauce and prawns', 'mustard salmon', 'grilled prawns', 'seabass in salt (on request)', 'salmon with honey mustard sauce', 'chicken La Reja', 'crêpe suzette', 'banana flambé'. Very nice view on the main square of te village where sometimes there are activities, music festivals, markets,... Closed on Tuesday. Calle de los Caños, 9, 29650 Mijas Pueblo

City/town information

The village is beautiful. You have spectacular views (!!) on the borders - 'Parque La Muralla', cozy little shops and nice streets to just stroll around (many steep hills). Go take a look at the Tourism Office and pick up a map of the village. You can make a walking tour around the village (explained on the map) so you get to see every little gem there is. Visit the little chapels, the Miniature Museum and eat an Ice-Cream at the 'Mayan Monkey Heladeria'.

An hour's drive takes you to Gibraltar, the English peninsula. Our recommendations: make a tour with a mini van, buy some cheap perfumes or alcohol and call it a day. You can book a tour when you enter Gibraltar. They leave whenever the mini van is full. These tours take you up the Rock of Gibraltar and you meet some of the best known residents - the monkeys. The guide also explains the history of Gibraltar and you can visit many popular attractions like St. Michael's Cave and the World War II Tunnels. Practical: You can park at the outside of the borders (parking lots in Spain), go through security and cross the landing strip of the airport which separates Gibraltar from Spain.
