The structure itself, built in AD 305 as the Mausoleum of Diocletian, is the second oldest structure used by any Christian Cathedral.

Since that time he was a regular visitor in Croatia, bought a villa near Primosten, and visited Split several times. When Split businessman and former mayor Zeljko Kerum built the Joker Centre, he ordered a statue from Kodar to bring some cultural spirit to his shopping Mecca.
