Sightseeing

The Buderim Forest Waterfall Walk This is a 45 hectare secluded oasis, hidden on the northern side of Buderim, less than a kilometre from the Buderim Village. This rainforest world boasts tall trees, ferns, babbling waterfalls, cascades and bird calls. Earliest photographic evidence states the main waterfall was called “Lindsay Falls” after the Lindsay Family who owned much of the area. The area was purchased many years ago by the Council as a reserve for all of Buderim. Amazingly much of the creek actually belongs to private land owners as once did the waterfall! The falls were a favourite recreational place for the region’s indigenous people and have been unofficially named “Serenity Falls”, but are widely known as the Buderim Falls. Dogs are not permitted in Buderim Forest Park by the Council . it’s a nature reserve and not an appropriate place to walk your pooch. A splendid walking trail has been developed from two entry points. The lower entry is off Lindsay Road via Harry’s Lane, while the second entry point is via Quorn Close, which runs off Lindsay Road at the top of Buderim. Both entries have their advantages and disadvantages and there is parking at both entry points, with most at the top Quorn Close entry.

Bellingham Maze OK it’s not TECHNICALLY Buderim, but just outside its parameters is a beautiful lilly pilly hedge maze which (if you squint your eyes) will make you feel like you’ve just stepped into the 80s cult movie classic Labyrinth. There’s even a Harry Potter quiz, mini golf area and tea house serving delicious Devonshire teas, fine espressos and yummy food. The maze is even open at night and BYO drinks are allowed for special occasions.

John Kyle Espresso There's a slick new coffee joint that's opened in Buderim and we love everything about it. From the guys who converted retro coffee haunt, The Birds and the Beans Espresso Bar, from Vandy's Garage to a fave coffee lounge, this newbie is definitely a look in. Their specialty coffee is hand blended focusing on premium grade coffees that have been ethically sourced. The interior is modern and clean with that whiff of new-school Buderim luxury.

Buderim Tavern When it’s a corker of a day — winter blue skies and the sun is shining bright — the Buderim Tavern is the perfect spot for a few arvo bevvies. Like a rose? Sit outside with your bestie or lover and share a bottle with the cheese platter, while soaking up that killer view. It’s winter relaxing at its best.
