Great place to visit, near to Llanelli Beach on Carmarthen Bay and the Loughor Estuary and handy for the National Cycle Route - Millennium Coastal Path. Park here and ride West to Carmarthen or East to Swansea.

Iconic 7 mile beach, great for walks with the kids and dogs (check when dogs are allowed on the beach, restricted in summer months) Famous for land speed record breaking by J.G Parry-Thomas and his famous aero-engined car "Babs". The Museum of Speed is well worth a visit, with Babs in residence during the summer months. Large pay car parks, sometimes paid parking on the famous beach itself.

Set in the old Bishop's Palace, the County Museum is a fascinating place to visit if you are interested in the history of Carmarthem, Wales' oldest town.
The beautiful village of Laugharne is the location where Dylan Thomas wrote much of his most memorable verse, both at his lodgings in the village and the famous boat house where he lived later. The Dylan Thomas Museum in the Boat House has many fascinating artifacts and displays, as well as a very good video biography of his life and times. Paid entry to the Museum, free to visit the village and foreshore, also visit Laugharne Castle, an imposing ruin. Great walks nearby, and pubs and coffee shops handy in the village.
