This is an excellent restaurant with fresh food and a nice view of Lake Eustis from their outside dining area. And warmer weather you can see gators swimming up to the docks while you eat. Try the gator tacos on taco Tuesday.

Sully’s Smokehouse Has fall off the bone smoked ribs. They are a bit pricey, but if you want authentic smoked ribs this is probably the place to go. It is about five minutes from the house.

If you like authentic German food and live German Alpine music this is the place to go. It is located in Sanford, about 45 minutes away. Downtown Sanford also has a wonderful historic downtown with shops and antiques as well as a German grocery store which is also owned by the restaurant owners. Sanford also has a very nice newly renovated waterfront on Lake Monroe where you can walk along or sit in benches or swing in benches and enjoy the view of the lake.

Downtown Sanford also has a wonderful historic downtown with shops and antiques as well as a German grocery store which is also owned by the restaurant owners. Sanford also has a very nice newly renovated waterfront on Lake Monroe where you can walk along or sit in benches or swing in benches and enjoy the view of the lake.
This is a wonderful Greek restaurant in all the Greek tradition. Waitresses dressed in the traditional Greek costume will serve you and dance as the Greek music is played. By the end of the night the floor will be covered with torn up paper which is thrown high into the air as everyone shouts opah. People will be dancing on top of the tables with the waitresses it’s a very unique dining experience and the food is very traditional and very well done it’s a long drive but it is a lot of fun.

By the end of the night the floor will be covered with torn up paper which is thrown high into the air as everyone shouts opah. People will be dancing on top of the tables with the waitresses it’s a very unique dining experience and the food is very traditional and very well done it’s a long drive but it is a lot of fun.

They have indoor and outdoor seating with an outdoor bar area and live music at sometimes it’s a nice drive to get there through some of the rolling farmland. The Mason Jar Is a family owned restaurant which is quite popular at all the locals. It’s typically quite busy and has homestyle comfort food, Such as meatloaf with homemade mashed potatoes, not the instant style. They also have good fried fish and other meals.

The fairgrounds have a large indoor and outdoor flea market on Thursdays. You can buy a lot of new and used goods including very cheap Florida baseball hats and T-shirts antiques as well as a fresh vegetable market and some vendor sewing seafood and other items

This is a bit of a drive to the golf coast but if you want to see manatees and bottlenose dolphins this is a great place to see them. Especially drink cooler weather, they enjoy the warm water outlet from the power plant so they congregate in large numbers there

Winter Park Florida is the Beverly Hills of Florida. They have some of the best restaurants and a lot of very nice upscale shops. They have plenty of outside dining along Park Avenue where you can sit and watch the well-to-do walk by or drive by in their Lamborghinis and Ferraris. Winter Park also has a canal tour which cost approximately $10 per person which will take you on several of the lakes and along the homes of the rich and famous it’s well worth the 90 minute to 2 hour tour. You can also walk around the grounds of Rollins College which is a very old and historic college with beautiful buildings and landscaping it’s very reminiscent of a college in England or one of the Ivy League schools here. Paul McCartney son went to Rollins College and Paul McCartney would stop in to talk to the students assembled in the auditorium. Mr. Rogers of the children’s television show was also a student a Rollins college. The museum located on Park Avenue just passed the shopping portion is home to one of the largest Tiffany glass collections in the world. On the weekends Winter Park has a small but interesting fresh food market where you can also buy other items such as flowers and plants.

A beautiful park in Tavares. At Christmas time, the park has many wonderful Christmas decoration. You can ride on the Polar Bear express train with your kids as actors tell Christmas stories.

Venetian Gardens is a nicely landscaped waterfront Park in Leesburg. They are currently building a waterfront restaurant adjacent to it. Many events are held in Venetian Gardens, such as the annual bass masters fishing tournament in February, many sport fisherman from all over the country come to compete for the hundred thousand dollar grand prize. They have many booths and displays featuring hire and fishing equipment as well as some of the most expensive bass boats you will ever see.

Many events are held in Venetian Gardens, such as the annual bass masters fishing tournament in February, many sport fisherman from all over the country come to compete for the hundred thousand dollar grand prize. They have many booths and displays featuring hire and fishing equipment as well as some of the most expensive bass boats you will ever see.
Leesburg has an interesting downtown with shops and antique stores and various restaurants. Leesburg is well-known for the annual Leesburg bike fest which attracts thousands of bikers from all over the country.

Tavares Seaport and Wooten Park are well known for both their Christmas displays and sea planes which come and go, as well as the annual antique wooden boat show. Each year boating enthusiasts from all over North America converge on Wooten Park and the dock areas to enjoy the displays of historic wooden boats which have been lovingly restored by their owners, it’s definitely an interesting day out to see spectacular vintage wooden boats of the 1920s, 40s and 50s and even earlier.

Each year boating enthusiasts from all over North America converge on Wooten Park and the dock areas to enjoy the displays of historic wooden boats which have been lovingly restored by their owners, it’s definitely an interesting day out to see spectacular vintage wooden boats of the 1920s, 40s and 50s and even earlier.
The Dora Queen paddlewheel boat has a full bar and snacks and music. They have sunset and afternoon cruises.
We have not tried it yet, but have heard good reviews from guests who have been on it.

Gator bay is a unique hole in the wall type of establishment, serving decent pub food including very good gator bites and typically live music or karaoke if you’d like people watching.

It’s an interesting restaurant to visit for the live music and people watching and the scenery of the lake and the cypress trees. It’s great for an afternoon visit a drink or two and some finger foods.

Pinball Restorations has a lot of vintage pinball machines to look at. You can actually play them AND buy them if you want. A very unique shop in our Eustis downtown.

Movie Theater.
A modern multi-theater for nights when you want to see some action on the big screen. Lots of movies to choose from and the reclining seats are just the thing after a long day exploring Lake County.
