From the main car park it is a short walk to the top of Mam Tor where you are rewarded by views over the Hope Valley. For a longer walk this is the start of a walk along the ridge to Lose Hill and down into Hope. There are also a number of routes to Mam Tor starting from Castleton or Edale.

Bradwell is a small village about a mile south of the main road through the Hope Valley. The village is very quiet with a small supermarket for groceries and a couple of local pubs. You can walk from Bradwell to nearby Hope or Castleton (they are also a short drive away).
