If you’re looking for a 5 star supermarket, this is your place to go. The options you have, the service level and the quality of the food are above expectations.

They have the best Cannoli in town, watch out for the size, they’re huge! They fill them in just in front of you and you can choose your side toppings. It’s just delicious. Many other desert options are available there, all typical Sicilian.

Expect to wait a bit in line.

The pizza itself is great. It’s a good option if you want a quicker bite while visiting town. They also deliver.

Right in the hearth of Kalsa, in piazza San Francesco, and next to a famous (though too touristic by now) restaurant called Antica Focacceria San Francesco.
Don’t get confused, it’s two different places and I personally recommend Scolapasta. You can try both local food options (like pasta alla norma or arrosto palermitano), and Roman pasta dishes. As a Roman I can tell you the chef is very good at it (like the Carbonara).
Enjoy! And if the weather is good, a table outside is highly recommended.

How to reach the apartment from Palermo airport
From Palermo PMO airport you have various ways to get home:
Taxi shuttle € 10 if I'm not mistaken (leaves you attached to the house, best option in my opinion)
Bus 6.70 € if I'm not mistaken (it leaves you about 500m from home)
Private transfer 40 €
Normal taxi 50 € in general

How to reach the Taxi shuttle stand (or the bus that is immediately after)?
Exit the airport at arrivals, go right out of the main doors. You will see there some nice gentlemen 100/200 meters later with a white Van who will offer you the taxi sharing.
Ask to be dropped off in front of Lidl in via roma. It’s about 100 meters away from the apartment.
Otherwise you can take the bus just after the taxi stand (you will see it :). Get off at the Teatro Biondo stop. It’s about 500 meters away from the apartment.
