Yup... it's the gas station. Sam's Country Store makes pretty darn good chicken tacos and cheese quesadillas. My kids love them, and Sam is open all season long! Call ahead and walk down to pick them up for lunch (watch out - the kitchen closes early on Sundays).

What a gorgeous little town. Drive past the Roxbury Hotel and marvel. Grab a bite at Chappie's. Take the backroad if you want (but don't rely on the GPS - you'll lose the signal for sure).

Margaretville is the regional center for this part of the Catskills. Main Street has a couple nice shops and is good for some window shopping. It's also just a few minutes down Route 28. The closest supermarket is here in Margaretville... so is the hospital, a shoe store, and a well stocked liquor store!

Skiing
The only family run ski resort left in the Catskills. It's about a 20 minute drive to get here. Great vibe and when the conditions are right, it's a terrific little mountain!
