Great swim spot to for a local dip or cruise down the river in an inner tube. You can jump in at Lewis Park in Courtenay or up a little way further if you want to tube down. You can also find a number of great, natural swimming spots locally-we would be happy to give you the inside scoop if you are looking for a place to cool off!

This is a great spot to hike or ski if you don't mind hiking up the mountain. The mountain is no longer maintained as a ski hill but it is still a local favourite and you will find many people up there tobogganing, having small cookouts in the snow or hiking up the hill in the winter. Each season is beautiful up this mountain area! This area is also home to Brown's River-which is a great fishing and swim spot (but can be dangerous, please be careful if you plan on swimming there).

Forbidden Plateau
8010 Forbidden Plateau RdThis is a great spot to hike or ski if you don't mind hiking up the mountain. The mountain is no longer maintained as a ski hill but it is still a local favourite and you will find many people up there tobogganing, having small cookouts in the snow or hiking up the hill in the winter. Each season is beautiful up this mountain area! This area is also home to Brown's River-which is a great fishing and swim spot (but can be dangerous, please be careful if you plan on swimming there).

There are many trails to explore in this area and also, if you are keen to try-there is a jump off point off a rock ledge after the campground that will surely give you a thrill!

Comox Lake
Large and clean lake for a swim or a hike! There are a few spots to take a dip, our favourite is White's bay-a little sandy nook just before you get to the boat launch. There are many trails to explore in this area and also, if you are keen to try-there is a jump off point off a rock ledge after the campground that will surely give you a thrill!
Kye Bay is a beautiful sandy beach in a protective bay area making it a great spot for swimming or paddle boarding. You can walk along the beach when the tide is out for kilometers. It also connects to Airforce beach (walking along the shore) as well as Point Holmes beach and boat launch (by paddle board, around the point).

272 Kye Bay RdKye Bay is a beautiful sandy beach in a protective bay area making it a great spot for swimming or paddle boarding. You can walk along the beach when the tide is out for kilometers. It also connects to Airforce beach (walking along the shore) as well as Point Holmes beach and boat launch (by paddle board, around the point).

Cumberland is cool-like really cool ;)! It is it the gateway to great mountain biking, fishing, hiking and of course, great music, food and beer! It is a local favorite and a fun town to cruise around any time of the year!

Comox is a lovely seaside community with a well equipped marina and a number of great parks, beaches and trails. If you decide to explore Comox, you can't miss Goose Spit and if you feel like a bit of a workout, try to stairs-the views are worth it!
Of course, in the summer-you can't miss the Filberg Park or the Marina Park, both are beautiful hubs of activity and nature with many events running throughout the season.
