From the small Røsnæs harbour it is possible to take a swim from the harbour bath, enjoy the sand beach, go to the sauna, see the small boats and sometimes it is possible to buy fresh fish from the fishermen in the early morning hours. One of the fishers is names Ib Koster and you can call him on + 45 21 45 00 03 if you need fresh fish and want to know when to be by the dock when the fish i landed.

City/town information
It's recommended a visit to the cosy and historic town Kalundborg. The town is not very big but there is nice small shops and a harbour area where you can find most things. There's also a small cinema (Kino Den Blå Engel / Kino The Blue Angel). One of the most special landmarks in Kalundborg is Vor Frue Kirke (The Church of Our Lady) which is very characteristic due the the five towers. It was build around the 13th century and is one of the most significant churches in Europe from the middle age.

Kalundborg

For Kids
For small kids or for adults with an interest in fire fighting and machines a visit to the Odsherred Fire Truck Museum is an option :)

Since the house is located at Helles Klint / Helles CLiff in the middle of a very special conserved area obviously we recommend exploring the cliff which were formed during the ice age 12.000 years ago and the botanics. Going to the beach and taking a swim from the bathing bridge or looking for a special stone as a memory from the trip is nice activities - and further they are for free :)

Practical things
Please remember towels, kitchen towels, bed linen (including bed cover), toiletries, shampoo etc.
There is a bathing bridge so if you are up for a swim in open water you should bring your swimwear :-)
It is a good idea to bring comfortable shoes if you want to go hike and since there are stones on the beach shoes is better than flip flops if you plan go to for a longer walk along the coast.

Getting to Stærekassen
The closest train station is Kalundborg Station. A bus can take you the rest of the way, but there will be a walk for around 15 minutes from the bus stop to the house, so unless you are freh and willing to walk, going by car is the best way to get to the this house.

Grocery Shopping
To save or not to save - that is the question.
If you want to save money while grocery shopping we reccomend going to Rema 1000 in Kalundborg (located at Klosterparkvej 47, 4400 Kalundborg - https://rema1000.dk/stores/769/)
However, if you are looking for luxury and a lot of inspiration MENY Kalundborg (Nørre Alle 133, 4400 Kalundborg - https://meny.dk/butik/meny-kalundborg) will be a great choice. But watch out - you will be tempted! :)
