Here you can eat the traditional "picado". You can choose with meat or with swordfish both are usually good and it comes with fried potatoes. As a starter you can order our tasty bread (bolo do caco) with garlic butter.
To drink you can try poncha. Ask for tangerine poncha or traditional poncha (made with lemon and orange) if you like sweet and not so strong. But my favourite is just made of lemon and it calls "Poncha à pescador", very strong :)
You can also try Nikita with or without alcohol.

If you decide to try O Farolim restaurant at lunch time, take the opportunity and go for a walk after to this see this magnificient view point. You can leave the car in mainroad if you feel like walking a little bit more or follow the signs and you will be able to park 15min walking from the spot.

From Livramento to funchal you can go walking or by taxi..

There is a cable car that takes you down and you can enjoy a really beautiful walking there. It's better you take some water with you because there is no business there, I mean there is a bar before you get the cable car but sometimes it is closed so you can’t trust. And even when is open I don't recommend.

Begining at Achada do Teixeira this trail climbs up to the island´s highest peak, Pico Ruivo (1862m) and it´s one of those places you can´t miss. It´s about 2,8km and it takes about 1h30 if you go slowly.
