Black Bear Golf Club, opened in 1995, features some of the most unique holes in Central Florida. The course is a P. B. Dye designed Championship 18 hole links style par 72 golf course. The Black Bear layout extends well over 7,000 yards and features undulating greens, dramatic fairway elevation changes and over 120 natural sand bunkers set in pristine Central Florida surroundings.

The 2,229 acre Conservation Area provides protection for the Lake Norris hardwood swamp and Blackwater Creek, a major tributary of the Wekiva River. Activities include hiking, biking, birdwatching, fishing, paddling, and camping. Wildlife include black bear, deer, otter, gopher tortoises, burrowing owls and a large osprey population. Lake Norris Trail is designated "multi-use" for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Formerly site of the Eustis Sand Mine, a large portion of the property is closed for mitigation/restoration.

The entrance gate will be open during daylight hours and will close approximately one hour prior to sunset to allow visitors to complete the drive and exit the property prior to sunset.
