Booloumba Falls is a great scenic drive & day out exploring the winding hills and roads out of Maleny town towards Connindale National Park . To visit Booloumba you will require 4WD to cross the creeks . You will need good hiking shoes to take to the bigger hikes and plan wisely for more challenging but rewarding bush walks. if you like to take it easy and soak up the natural gorge and crystal clear water hole at Campsite 3 then all you need is a picnic mat , a picnic and your swimmers to recharge in the magical waters. Booloumba is a fantastic spot to visit and worth the drive.

Mary Cairn Cross scenic reserve is a conservation park full of wildlife and untouched beauty. The park also offers BBQ’s and a green Picnic area that is great for having a BYO BBQ lunch after a rainforest walk. There is also a cafe near the conservation centre overlooking glasshouse mountains and the views are not to be missed.

This is a great walk in Mapelton National Park Approx 7km to the waterfall and return. Entrance is from Flaxton and it’s a Bush walk that not a lot of people know about so the tracks are often quieter and less populated than the popular Kondalilla Falls. Make sure you take water and a few snacks Be sure when there has been lots of rain there is a lovley refreshing water hole at the bridge crossing / Baxter Falls . Magical spot and some steeper incline and lots of steps as you get closer to the gorge and waterfall. Prepare / plan 2 hours refreshing walk

There breakfasts are impressive always full of handpicked herbs from the back yard garden . Homegrown also offer Friday night dinner plates in the lanes that always are full of creativity and local ingredients.
