You can't visit Emigrant without having at least one drink or a meal at the Old Saloon with the local cowboys. A proper western bar straight out of central casting! Weekends usually offer live music and there are larger concerts in the summers.

If you're visiting in the winter, do not miss cross country skiing at Indian Creek. The ski shop at Mammoth Hotel can get you sorted with rentals.

If you're looking for a low key hike, this is an easy 2.5 mile out and back trail to the Pine Creek Falls.
If you're feeling more adventurous, you can continue up to Pine Creek Lake, which is 10.5 miles out and back and more challenging.
