If you even want to work out while you are on holiday. This park is nearby and great for a morning run. I love to go there for a run in the morning.

The Foodhallen is an indoor food market. Nice to go to in the afternoon when it is a rainy day. Many small restaurants and also shops under a roof.

This area has a lot of restaurants and is a very nice area to walk around. Just stroll ann you will find a nice place to eat.

If you take the ferry to the NDSM you will find a different Amsterdam. These old Dock lands are very populair these days. Noorderlicht is one of the restaurants/bars. I picked this one because they have a very nice terrace outside.

Nice place nearby the boat. Just 5 min. with the bikes. Has camp fire outside, bit urban hippy style. Great for a good summer evening.

Swell locals as tourists love this place. It's situated in an old Dutch wind mill. So you can take that one of you sight seeing bucket list :-)
They have very good beers, but the beers are strong. I can drink 2 beers, sometimes more (because they are so good tasting) but after 2 beers I prefer to walk home instead of cycling :-)
My favorite beer is the Zatte or the white beer, called an IJwit.
The brewery has a great (but crowded) terrace and always fun.
And good to know, its only open from 2 pm-8 pm.

Shopping
The nine streets are famous and for a reason. The streets are situated between the canal. So you have a bit of sightseeing and shopping.
The good thing is that its not the big brand stores are here but small local shops and bars. Too many nice shop to recommend so just go.
