This restaurant is located about 10- 15 minutes from CDA but is an excellent choice for a steak house type restaurant. Great food but it is going to be in the higher price range for the area.

This place is one of my favorites in the area. It is located in the near by town of Post Falls and is a great place to eat and watch the sunset. They have a old saw mill vibe while maintaining a classy feel. The food and drinks are great( best old fashioned in the area). I highly recommend having dinner here!

Great small town feel. Sandpoint is about a 45-60 minute drive north of Coeur d'Alene and is located on Lake Pend Orielle . It is a small town with great shopping, food, and scenery. Everyone that visits me always wants to go to Sandpoint for a day . It is a must see if you have the time.

This an excellent hike for families or if you are looking for a moderate hike with excellent views of the lake! It is right next to downtown so it makes an excellent pre-lunch or dinner hike!

The CDA river is a beautiful drive as well as provides great trout fishing year round. Whether you stay right around the Kingston area or decide to venture further up the CDA river will not disappoint. If you are looking for hiking there are great options out that way as well. ( winter may dictate accessibility)

Wallace is a small town about 45 minutes or so east of Coeur d'Alene. It has some great outdoor activities around it as well as great breweries and food inside town! The town itself is worth the drive. If you are heading to Lookout Pass to hike or ski this would make a great before or after stop!

The drive out to Lookout Pass is something to experience within it self. This is a great spot to take the family hiking, skiing, or biking . So no matter the season you will have something to do here.

Kellogg is a short 40 minute drive from CDA and has excellent skiing and snowboarding in the winter, mountain biking and hiking in the summer, as well as a waterpark for kids. The gondola ride alone is worth the visit!
