Where we like to eat in Tucson
Throwing out some tried and true standbys as well as some secret gems that we enjoy. Please note that our tastes tend to mainly skew towards holes in the wall and unique offerings that make Tucson, well, Tucson. Also have some safe bets in there for families and if you want to have a nice night out. Enjoy!
Many do Sonoran food; they do it very well at great price. Table side guacamole that is fantastic.

So Snooze is where you take the family for a great breakfast/brunch. Bobo's is "Just like Mom's cooking, without all the questions."
If you've been out late, or you get up early, Bobo's is worth the drive just a little further east on Grant. It's a little grittier, but cheaper and the service is always excellent. No chai lattes with oat milk here, but you will never see the bottom of your coffee cup. The Flying Saucer at the bottom of the menu sounds weird, but it is really tasty. (Pro tip: get it with two fried eggs on top). Any menu that has chicken fried steak also gets moved up the list. :-)

The Buffet has been slinging drinks continuously since 1934. If you want a cheap pitcher of Coors Banquet, a lot of local color and a non-pretentious evening of fun just off of campus, The Buffet is worth checking out. Friendly staff and patrons. Usually not crowded

Friendly staff, respectful patrons, and your basic line up of drafts and drinks. Food truck outside provides sustenance if needed. This is a short uber ride, or if necessary, a short walk home through the Winterhaven neighborhood.
