challenging neighborhoods - west and north to the house
When you go out to explore, avoid west and north neighbourhoods near or towards Martin Luther King Drive or Arlington Park, they might seem intimidating to go to. If you go, go with companions or go in the daytime.
However, it's totally safe to walk or take the light rail to the supermarket by the MLK light rail station.
The neighbourhoods on the northeast side are much safer, like Communipaw and Liberty Harbor, Jersey City downtown, which have a lot of fun to explore. If you are walking, I recommend you go through Berry Lane Park, instead of normal roads. You can enjoy the park walk.
