This place has a fun outdoor area and good food. It's been a little warm and slow every time we've gone, so I recommend visiting when you have a little time to spend and when the weather is fair.

Good solid no-frills food with little-to-no wait time. It's at the south end of a little shopping strip and doesn't get a ton of foot traffic when things are crazy packed just a mile north.

Right next to Girls Gone Wine. We haven't been there, but it's got a great vantage point up on the hill and a creative hot dog menu to go with their drinks.

This is our local fall-back favorite...when everything else has a crazy wait list this place will get you in and it's so close to the cabin! Good pizza and adult beverages, they also have outdoor patio dining and seasonal live entertainment.

Sightseeing
If you like museums, this is a lovely little free look into the history of the park. Great historical photos and quite informative, it's self-guided and air conditioned with occasional benches for those seeking a nice resting spot.

Choctaw Casino Broken Bow
1790 S Park DrWe visited for the first time 6/23 and it had so much more than we were expecting! Parrots, parakeets, peacocks, guinea pigs, a super snuggly (de-stinkered) skunk, chinchillas, snakes, kittens and pups, free-range deer, zebra, kangaroo, hogs and piglets, geese, gators, tortoises, horses and cattle, goats and sheep and more. It's a rescue as well, so they take in all kinds of critters as they rehabilitate and release back into the wild those they can. You can add on a pony ride and walk the track with your little one and the wrangler. It's a great, gentle intro to horses for kiddos that have never ridden. Go in the cool of the day if you can. There is some shade, but almost all of it is outdoors.

Each train car's bench easily holds an adult and child and there are many to choose from. The conductor is funny and informative, the track goes through a beautifully green, wooded area, and around the end of June into July you may see up to 200 deer as the newest fawns get less skittish. There's also a little rest area at the Depot for an assortment of drinks and snacks, and a playground near the entrance if your little ones need to run off some post-ride excitement.

It's app-led and takes you to various points throughout Beavers Bend State Park. Beware-there are some red herrings in the clues, but if you get too stymied and the 3 additional hints don't help, you can always call in for assistance. Took our group of 4 (2 adults, 2 inquisitive kids) about 2 hours with a picnic lunch stop in the middle and plenty of time to investigate each stop (seems like there were about 7 in all.) Head back to the Escape Game office for a group photo and medals for all!
*Update* There is one location on Lukfata by the cabin, but they were closed when we came by, so we went to the South location on Stevens Gap Rd behind Abendigo's. There's a nice gift shop next door and the new Hochatown Bigfoot Axe Throwing location next to that.

Nicely shaded, the course is beginner level with interactive buildings that the kids loved. This was our second time to try putt putt with them; the other course we tried (in Ardmore) was quite challenging and ended quickly in tears of frustration. Not the case here! Just big smiles this time around.
