Oh man, this is a love-hate place. We used to formerly live in Texas, and I'm half Mexican. I wouldn't call the food great, but it's as good as you're going to get for "Mexican" in the area. Ambience is fun, margaritas are yummy.

By far one of the best ice cream places in the Adirondacks. They've been using the same soft serve machine for decades. It's cash only, and they only serve one flavor a day (you can check it out on their facebook). Lovely view too. Open seasonally (summer)

Favorite Hikes
Mount Baker is a great hike for the not-so-serious hikers. You do get a decent incline, so make sure to dress correctly and feel comfortable taking on the trail. It's only about a mile, so it doesn't take too long. Great views of the village.

Mount Jo is another great "quick" hike that gets you some lovely views. You will have to go to the Adirondack Loj and pay for parking.
