Paoli began as a mill on the Sugar River in the mid-1800's. it is approximately 4 square blocks surrounded by farm fields, and boasts art galleries, a few pubs, restaurants, and TWO outdoor music venues on the river. The music tends towards blues and rock, with other genres on occasion. The main venue has a nice stage, lawn seating (there are some tables, but bring your own chairs if you can), with several food choices, an outside bar, and an indoor pub in the old mill. It is a wonderful place to decompress and is quickly becoming a favorite weekend destination. Well-behaved dogs are welcome at the music venues.

Beautiful park with paddling, xc skiing, off-leash dog area, and plenty of trails. At the top of one of the hills is a small stone chapel built in 1857 by a father and son to fulfill a promise for seeing them through a pandemic.

Dogs not permitted in the beach area during open hours.
