Highly recommend renting a bike here, biking across the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito or Tiburon and taking the ferry back to Fisherman's wharf.

For a nice day, get out early and take the Ferry over to Tiburon for lunch and then walk around the cute downtown. (Check ferry schedule in advance)
