City/town information

Mid-Coast Maine is filled with wonderful coastal towns to visit for shopping, dining and sightseeing. These are among our favorites!
Damariscotta, known as the oyster capital of New England, this quaint New England village and it's twin village Newcastle are linked by a bridge over the Damariscotta River and form the "Twin Villages." A popular tourist destination, Main Street is packed with unique gift shops, coffee shops and restaurants and the historic The Lincoln County Theatre.

Sightseeing

This is a beautiful lighthouse. Use caution while exploring the rocks. There are many people walking out on the rocks but waves have been known to come up over the rocks. Wear proper shoes for navigating the rocks and terrain.

Hvað á að taka með

Grocery Shop ahead of time

Jefferson has a small General Store called the Jefferson Market which is great for some basic staples along with great breakfast and lunch food but the nearest full service grocery store is 20 minutes away. Depending on when you plan to arrive it is a great idea to grocery shop ahead of time. We have a regular sized refrigerator with a top freezer in the kitchen.
