Neighborhoods
I'm a 5 min walk to the beautiful Waneka Lake. The trailhead is at the corner of Atlantis and Caria st, 1 block away. Take that trail and stay to the right and you'll come upon the lake. It's a mile walk around the lake. There you can fish, rent kayaks, SUP's, paddle boats. I recommend going at sunset to see the sun set behind the Rockies. It's breathtaking.

A 17 mile walking and biking trail that goes from Louisville to Erie. It meanders along a creek and is a great place to walk or bike. If you take Centaur Village Dr (1 block from me) south til it dead ends you'll see the trail head. If you head west (toward the mountains) on the trail you can walk/bike to Main St of quaint downtown Louisville where there are lots of restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, etc. Louisville is a must see, a very quaint town that was rated #1 the happiest place to live in the US for many years.

Downtown Lafayette still has a small town feel and is definitely worth seeing. The best restaurant there is Teocali, which is all gluten free Mexican food. East Simpson Coffee is a great morning hangout.
