Fantastic & authentic Spanish delicatessen with huge wine shop! Beautiful cheeses, meats, snacks, etc and pre-made lunch items. This is my favourite place to buy food & drinks for a picnic.

BEST fish and chips in Aberystwyth! I’ve tried them all and this wins for us. It’s right on the seafront so even if there’s a queue, it’s well worth it.

Around 25mins from the cottage you’ll see Constitution Hill on the seafront which is where the walk starts and goes all the way to Borth, where you can get a train back to Aberystwyth (one stop) so you save your legs! There are several cute pubs in Borth to stop at, as well as cafes and fish n chips on the sandy beach to refuel!

Around 25mins from the cottage you’ll see Constitution Hill on the seafront which is where the walk starts and goes all the way to Borth, where you can get a train back to Aberystwyth (one stop) so you save your legs! There are several cute pubs in Borth to stop at, as well as cafes and fish n chips on the sandy beach to refuel!
Beautiful spot in Aberystwyth that’s about 25mins walk from the cottage. You can climb the hill in about 5mins or take the Cliff Railway. Beautiful views at the top! If you’re energetic - carry on the coastal path all the way to Borth!

Ynyslas beach & sand dunes are walking distance from Borth (1 stop on train from Aberystwyth), and are truly stunning! The golden sands will make you feel exotic when basking in the warmth, and are a nature lover’s paradise. The estuary overlooks Aberdovey opposite. This is a fabulous quiet spot away from chaos of busy places. Borth beach also is famous for it’s 5000yr old remains of tree stumps in the sand which can be seen at low tide, as it was previously a woodland once upon a time!

One of the most beautiful places in the world- I think! If you’re wanting to explore around, Barmouth is about 50mins drive, or you can get a train from Aberystwyth. The views of mountains meeting the sea with golden sands is breathtaking! There are many cafes, bars and pubs here to enjoy a day out. I love the nostalgia feel of the place- it’s like stepping back a few decades and everyone is so happy and enjoying the holiday atmosphere- you’ll have to visit to see what I mean!
