One of my favorite areas to walk around. There is lots to see in Coptic Cairo including the Hanging Church. This could be an easy day-time activity, as it is nearby and very easy to get to by Metro.

Delicious Italian food. Great breakfast and drinks (coffee, homemade iced teas, milkshakes). Plus: On a nice street in downtown Cairo :)

Very close to the house! (3 min walk) and although the decor isn't so great, you can get moderately priced beers (25 L.E) and a great view of the Nile and the city.
