Sightseeing
A visit to the Wall of Bones is a must at the Dinosaur National Monument. Shuttles take you from the parking lot up to the Monument. Pack plenty of water if you want to venture around on the driving tour and stop and see more after a visit to the Wall of Bones.

Great place to paddleboard, kayak and fish. Water levels will be low this year so plan on walking a little from the parking area to the water. Access is just off US-191 about 10 minutes out of Vernal.

The hike up to Moonshine Arch is easy/moderate. Some steep areas, but we've taken all kinds of groups up it. Take some water and a snack and wear good hiking shoes. Please pack out whatever you take with you. Be aware of ATVs that might be on the trail. Turn off of US-191 and follow the signs to the parking area. Lots of private lands around so be mindful of where you are. There will be construction on a turning lane off of US-191 into Moonshine Arch the Summer of 2022.

Dry Fork Canyon
Dry Fork Canyon - McConkie Ranch Petroglyphs and Remember the Maine Park. From town get on 500 North (SR-121, Uintah Ute Highway) and head west towards 3500 West. Turn north (right) and head up towards Dry Fork Canyon. Signs will lead you to the McConkie Ranch Petroglyphs and Remember the Maine Park. Take a hike at both locations. If you have more time travel further up the Canyon and take Red Cloud Loop Road to the Ashely National Forest.
