This lovely village takes it's name from the Rouses, a local family, who in the 19c built most of the attractive houses surrounding the tree lined village green. Here you will find an old manor house and although it is private property, you can catch a glimpse of its famous yew garden, which was established over three hundred years ago. All around there are apple orchards and fields full of fruit trees. Known mostly as 'the Lenches' these villages are on a popular tourist trail.
