This quaint city has everything you need within a 10 minute drive. Our Pinafore Park has a beautiful walking trail around Lake Margaret where you will see lots of ducks, geese and other wildlife. Several play areas for the kids with splash pads, pavilion to enjoy a nice picnic, baseball diamond, and various festivals throughout the year. This is just one of our wonderful parks.
Downtown has many antique shops, specialty gift shops, restaurants and big box stores.
Escape from Reality is a fun way to spend a couple of hours.
Railway City Brewing Co. is a large warehouse style building with high ceilings where you can order “flights” of beer for sampling. Patio is also available outside
Maybe wine is more your thing, check out our Quai du Vin Estate Winery, the oldest leading wine producer in Elgin County. Situated on one of the highest land elevations in the county.
Of course we have food, name your cuisine. So many great restaurants starting with my personal favorites, Le Cafe Siam, amazing Thai food, Bella Jack’s for Mexican, southwestern or Canadian, Al’s Pizzeria for huge delicious panzerotti, Pizzaworx best chicken wings, hands down, Lucky Kitchen my favorite Chinese restaurant in the city and Lotus Thai has my favorite Pad Thai dish. This is just a sampling of our great restaurants. You will find more information when you arrive

East Park is a great way to cool off on the water slides, arcade, wave pool, etc. grab your picnic cooler, towels and enjoy your day.

Just a 10 minute drive south and you will arrive at Port Stanley. Known for its large clean beach, huge assortment of shops and restaurants it’s a great way to spend a warm day. Don’t forget to stop at GT’s for a bite to eat right on the beach and live music
