This magical oasis in the Escondido countryside is a historic Ranch close enough for a quick hour or two of peace and quiet. Only a few minutes from the San Diego Safari Park, this special place is scattered with succulent gardens, amazing trees and a steam running through. Horseback riding, restaurant (opening summer of 2021). Relax in the huge hammock, listen to the wind in the trees watch the birds.

Count yourself fortunate to be visiting Valley Center over the weekend this local ‘faire’ is happening. Open one weekend per month (Fri, Sat, Sun), Brick n Barn is the happening place to be for local food, crafts, workshops, antiques, and dog adoptions in partnership with local rescues.
This charming property is also the former Betty Crocker Estate, dating back to 1872. You'll find delicious homemade baked goods, coffee to go, and plenty of pepper trees where can connect with locals in the shade of community.
