This loop is just a short walk from The Windfall. Turn left or right from Windfall Ave onto Mendenhall Loop Road.
If you’ve turned left, the entrance is at the top of Goat Hill.
If you’ve turned right, take the bike path from Mendenhall Loop Rd. at the University of Alaska, Southeast entrance. Walk across campus, past the parking lot at Auke Lake, down the paved bike path along the lake and Glacier Highway. Once you’ve hit the trees, you’ll see an entrance to the trail to the left.
