I know everyone loves the South Padre Island Beach, but the birding center is an absolute do not miss destination. The walkway takes you through the bay side. Beautiful scenery, peaceful, birds and some alligator excitement. Apparently it recently became an alligator sanctuary. They were so numerous, at first I thought they were fake!

I love their grilled chicken. They usually have a leg and thigh 10 piece special on sale. Be sure to ask for extra tortillas, chips and salsas. The place is less than five minutes away.

This Starbuck's location is only a few blocks away from the guest house. You can run there as your morning exercise if you would like. I must warn you there might be a very long line for the drive-thru especially in the morning. For your convenience, complimentary Keurig coffee is provided in the guest house.
