If temperatures go down to freezing, driveways and roads can be hazardous. Park your car(s) at the bottom of the driveway on the side of the mailbox. Don’t take any chances.

Annual Winter Lowering Of Lake Lure
Lake Lure is lowered every year usually in January and February. This is temporary while inspections and repairs to the dam occur and homeowners can repair their docks. The Town of Lake Lure announces how many feet the lake will be lowered and for how long on an annual basis usually by the end of Fall.
