Regina’s newest vegetarian diner is already gathering a following of regulars with its quirky decor, interesting staff, excellent playlists, and great food. The vegetarian burger has a black bean base and can be ordered “the usual” or with the daily special toppings. Whether you get the burger, melt, or other awesome meal, be sure to order fries. Even friends who don’t normally eat meals without meat have been known to take a special trip to Hunter Gatherer for the fries.

Luiggi’s has been in business since 1984, and have mastered the art of pasta. Whatever pasta dish you crave Luiggi’s makes it to perfection. Lasagna, cannelloni, manicotti, fettuccine, linguine, tortellini and more. There are so many choices on the menu that I don’t even know what half the dishes are. But that’s okay because their friendly staff will gladly answer any questions you have. And most importantly, it’s damn tasty.

Get your elbows ready, too, in case the crowd gets a little rowdy and you need to “Gordie Howe” your way to the front of the line. What’s the occasion, you ask? Well, Wednesday and Saturday are cinnamon bun days at The Green Spot. Yes, these delicious creations are available two days a week, and they almost always sell out early. You can also order in advance if you want to guarantee a batch to take home. If you’ve never had a Green Spot cinnamon bun, I’m not sure what planet you live on, or what you’ve been waiting for. Go soon — just be sure to stay out of my way because I’ll probably be wearing my elbow pads.
