Great place to book a surf lesson for you or your kids where the staff are very engaging. In the summer season you should book in advance of your stay. 1.5 hour lessons are either at 8.30am or 5.30pm daily.

Sightseeing
Take a day trip away from the town and visit Assateague National or State parks. See the wild ponies on the beach and you can even get a permit to drive on the beach which in kinda fun!

Get out of town, take a picnic and enjoy the scenery! You might want to take insect repellent in the warmer months as flies can be problematic.

A nice little town worth a visit. It has an interesting main street with shops and restaurants. I have been recommended a restaurant called Blacksmith.

A popular smaller vacation town across the border in Delaware. Very attractive to families and there is a boardwalk if you fancy a change from Ocean City.

Swimming and Safety
There is a life guard station right in front of the condo. Life guards are on duty between 10am -5.30pm in the summer season (check website for schedules in off-season).
You cannot surf or sandboard while the lifeguards are on duty as it can be dangerous for swimmers but you can boogie-board!

Ocean City Boardwalk
Take a stroll up the boardwalk and grab an ice cream or lunch. The boardwalk is too far to walk from our condo so try catching the bus! There are several public car parks, including the inlet parking lot but they get busy in the height of season.

Recycling
Ocean city does not offer a recycling service. (The Town's solid waste is transported to one of three energy-from-waste facilities which produce a clean, renewable energy source for cities and towns on the East Coast.).
If you would like to recycle, the nearest facility is Berlin Recycling Drop-Off Center -
Rt 50 - Ocean Gateway, Berlin , MD 21811 - Near Wal-Mart /Samuel Bowen Blvd.
