Located near the district of Soufrière, this dormant volcano lets you drive up to the edge of the springs. Take a guided tour and explore the lunar-like landscape tingled with the scent of sulfur oozing from the fumaroles. Downstream, the unique bathing pools are known for their healing properties. Swim along, lounge under the shade, take a walk around the shore or watch the gentle blue waters of the bay; this pristine beach is an ideal getaway to relax and rejuvenate close to nature. Don't be frightened by young men extending compliments when you pass by. Simply say hello or thank you and walk on. People are always willing to help so simply ask but be cautious. When you ask the price of anything the quotation is in the local currency, if it us USD or euro the word US or Euro will be stated at the end of the price. $1USD = $ $2.67 EC (from the bank / $2.50 EC from locals on the streets. $1 Euro = $2.85 EC. Note the foreign currency value for all other currencies except Bds and USD fluctuates daily.

Best way to see the island for a low and reasonable with for own driver and personal guide that caters to your schedule and choice is to book your tours with the owner of the listing. Also using the owner to rent you cars saves you from paying a rental at the cost of a visitor. Also lots of places are within walking distance so you can always walk or use the reliable public transportation.

Comfortable and light

Make sure to bring lots of sunscreen (optional), swimwear, flip flops, summer clothes, an elegantly casual attire and nice sandals or shoes, a pair of sneakers, open toe sandals, caps / hats (optional), travel size umbrella, insect repellent, ear plugs (optional). Island life requires you to wear little amount of clothes.

Prescriptions

We don't have world-class healthcare but we have a great many pharmacies that can refill valid prescriptions or where you can get recommendations for over the counter drugs. We have one private hospital that take insurance and 3 public hospitals that render some free services and the other services are very affordable.
