If you want to satisfy your sweet tooth, check out this place. They make all their ice cream from scratch. There is a downtown location as well. The one in Manitou Springs has merged with The Red Dog (another great store with pastries and coffee) during the pandemic.

Sightseeing
This 5-star resort has it all. Even if you are not lodging there, you can drive to the front (have a few bucks for the valet) and tell them you would like to see the grounds, going to dine, use spa services, etc.) There are several dining options (reservations recommended). You can also walk around the lake and admire the Bavarian architecture and celebrity history of The Broadmoor. Check out their website for other adventures (cabin camping, ziplining, sight-seeing tours, etc.)

This is a funky little town on the west side of Colorado Springs. It has restaurants, bars, an old arcade area, and natural springs that are accessible by fountains throughout the town. Lots of history. I recommend catching a hiking history tour through the MeetUp group, The Wandering Monkeys.

Simply beautiful. This is an easy hike that is great for the first day of your visit to adjust to the altitude. They have a visitor's center with educational exhibits and gift shop as well.

Make sure you are back down below treeline by the afternoon as lightning storms occur frequently at Devil's playground (hence the name). Or you can drive up. Currently, there is a shuttle system in place to drive to the top (there is no parking at the top due to construction). Take a jacket with you; it's cold at 14,000 feet.
