If you go to Pt defiance this coffee shop near the entrance uses organic ingredients and sweetens only with honey, so guilt free cheesecake and more, has a stage for kids to play on (or live music!)

This park has a stream and trail that makes you feel like you are in the deep woods near Mt Rainier 100 miles from the city. I love to take picnics here and you can surprisingly get a good hike in.
