Chapter Arts Centre is a hub for all things artistic. It offers regular exhibitions, theatre, cinema showings and has a fab cafe which also sells Conti's amazing ice cream - worth a visit just for that!

Food Scene

In Mermaids Quay there are lots of restaurants including Gourmet Burger, Bills, Wagammamas, and Las Iguanas. There's plenty to visit in the area, including boats rides around the Bay and, for culture vultures there's world-class opera or musicals on offer in the nearby Millennium Centre. Visit Crafts in the Bay for jewellery by local Welsh craftsmen, prints and paintings, and regular exhibitions There's a health conscious cafe upstairs!

This is the place to go for amazing food. It is a family run business serving award winning food by chef John Cook. Situated on Romilly Crescent within the trendy catchment area of Pontcanna, it's well worth the visit. There's a new deli attached selling fabulous local produce - including Conti's ice cream in take home tubs.

Everything Else

Hope on a No. 6 bendy bus -available from the side of the Millennium Centre, and get off at the John Lewis stop. If you're not sure just ask the driver and he/she will let you know which one this is, it's near a beautifully tiled pub. A return ticket costs around £3.60 and you can use the ticket all day on any city centre bus. Great value if you want to do some exploring. St Davids II shopping centre has everything you would expect from a city centre shopping mall. John Lewis is located here and there's also a restaurant quarter with outlets such as Pret, Ed's Diner, and Patisserie Valerie. Just outside is a CIneworld cinema complex with multiple screenings, and regular pop concerts are on offer in the Cardiff International Arena across the road from the cinema. The surrounding shopping streets have all the usual shops like Urban Outfitters, All Saints, TKMaxx, Zara etc.etc. whilst the many lovely Victorian arcades have independent shops selling interesting wares. Be sure to glance up at the glass ceilings whilst you're in there!
