Awarded best apple pie in Australia 2019! We love the meat pies and our kids love the lamingtons and jam donuts. The sourdough breads are also amazing for enjoying at home later. Can sit outside with a coffee before heading for a walk or bike ride by the river.

Family friendly pub with great food and drinks for everyone to enjoy. Easy to walk to from the house, across the train tracks behind the IGA takes about 15 minutes.

This pub/hotel looks very underwhelming from the street but actually has a lovely courtyard out the back and great pub food (best parmy in town). They also do takeaway!

Great walking trails along the river and can ride your bikes too (suitable for all ages). We often start at Duidgee Park at the bottom of the hill from the Cascades. If you stand at the park, looking at the river, the path starts on your right, just follow it along adjacent to the river and then loop back through town afterwards.

We often stop here on our way to/from Toodyay for a picnic and a quick walk. The children and our dog love having a splash in the water.
