For CS Lewis fans this is a must-see. Lewis lived in the cottage here with his brother, which you can still see. The reserve is said to have inspired the "wood between the worlds"- the gateway to Narnia - in his book The Magician's Nephew.

We live on the south side of Boars Hill. From here there are dozens of footpaths to wander in to the countryside. There are pubs to stop at for drinks and food. You can walk in to Oxford from here and explore the town.

Can be good for celeb spotting as artists performing at The Playhouse often stay here. I used to work here as a waitress many years ago! Good for afternoon tea.
