Sightseeing
KENNEDY SPACE CENTER - Tips
The base ticket will provide a full day of activity. Tickets can be purchased at the KSC the day of your visit. Hours are 9am-6pm. Plan for a very FULL day , there is a lot to see. Space Geeks (like myself) that want additional tours can add a second day at a discounted rate. No need to buy this extra day in advance, just show your ticket stub and add a day at the gate the following day.
Take the bus tour first (approximately 2 hours). The waiting time for the bus tour is much longer in the afternoon.
The bus tour ends at the Atlantis exhibit, it is a must see.
You will have something to see no matter which side of the bus you sit on, but the best viewing seats are those on the opposite side of the bus driver.
Make note of the IMAX movie times. The movies don't run continuously and you really should see at least one of the movies. You can reserve a movie time.
Bring a jacket or sweater, the bus and building interiors are very cold. I mean uncomfortably FREEZING!!
Eat before you go. The food is fast food limited.
